Desert jasper is known for its scenic, landscape-like patterns in hues of brown, tan, beige, and cream. These natural designs often resemble panoramic images of deserts, mountains, and forests.
Significant deposits of picture jasper are found around the world, and each location produces jasper with distinctive patterns and colors unique to the region. The Jasper used in this pieces comes from the rugged Owyhee mountain area situated on the Idaho-Oregon border in the United States.

Vermeil is a technique invented in 1805 where gold is applied to sterling silver.
The gold coat applied on vermeil pieces must be above 2.5 microns, creating a finish that is five times thicker than average gold plating, and far more durable.
The gold used in our Vermeil pieces is 18 karats of purity and completely nickel free.
