Mother of pearl is an organic material produced by some mollusks as an inner shell layer. It is found in the outer layer of pearls and the inside layer of shells. Also known as nacre, it is strong, resilient, and iridescent.

Vermeil is a technique invented in 1805 where gold is applied to sterling silver.
The gold coat applied on vermeil pieces must be above 2.5 microns, creating a finish that is five times thicker than average gold plating, and far more durable.
The gold used in our Vermeil pieces is 18 karats of purity and completely nickel free.
